# Move from Crane to Poof

Give this file to the agent helping you set up your phone.

## Instructions for the agent

Remove Crane's active components, then install Poof from **https://repo.usepoof.app/**. Poof does not import Crane containers or Reddit sessions: the owner will sign into each account again inside a new Poof profile.

1. Identify the installed Crane package and any Crane-specific add-ons in Sileo or the phone's package manager. Record the account/container names the owner wants to recreate. Preserve a backup of Crane's settings and container data before removal.
2. Close Reddit. Uninstall Crane and its Crane-specific add-ons through the package manager. The usual Crane package ID is `com.opa334.crane`; use the installed package list to identify the actual packages on this phone.
3. Remove remaining Crane-specific injection files or services only if they are confirmed leftovers from those packages. Libraries such as libSandy, AltList and libundirect may be shared by other tweaks; remove them only when no other installed package needs them. Do not blindly delete files by a name match.
4. Preserve Reddit, the owner's other tweaks, and old Crane container data, including `___Crane_Containers`. Uninstalling Crane is separate from erasing its saved accounts. Do not erase those backups as part of setup.
5. Complete any restart requested by the package manager. If a full reboot is needed, the owner must restore the jailbreak before continuing. Ensure Crane is no longer active before opening Reddit under Poof.
6. Follow the [installation guide](https://repo.usepoof.app/INSTALL.md). Create a Poof profile for each chosen account and let the owner sign in. Test two profiles by switching A → B → A and checking the account shown each time.
